The New York Times is trying to get money out of this, which I can appreciate (just look at all the ads I have on here), but isn't the whole point of writing something like this to have as many as possible read it?
People will keep republishing the articles. Given the rapid spread of news through blogs, I don't see the New York Times being able to do much to stop people from copying and pasting the articles. Perhaps a few accounts will get cancelled, but that's about it.
The article, by the way, covers an interesting grab bag of topics, including everything from Bush's hypocracy when it comes to energy conservation to women's rights in Saudi Arabia.
