I was -- I knew that a big storm was coming* on Monday, so I spoke to the country on Monday* morning about it. I said, there's a big storm coming. I had pre-signed emergency declarations in anticipation of a big storm coming.

Bravo. *slow claps* You signed a piece of paper. Then you went/stayed on vacation while people died. Your job is to do more than sign a declaration. You signing that declaration did not prevent hundreds or thousands of avoidable deaths.
Also, Bush didn't even know that the head of FEMA, Michael Brown, had resigned. Truly the man does not have a clue about anything.
