Customer Rating: Summary: Great Overview of the Subject Matter Comment: Great overview of all the areas involved with aircraft construction materials, techniques, and hardware. Short on some details but it wouldn't be small if it wasn't. The one manual you must have for kit airplane construction!
Customer Rating: Summary: Standard aircraft handbook...a must have for acft mechanics Comment: This is an outstanding reference book that should be considered a must have for all aircraft mechanics. I have a couple...tons of outstanding reference diagrams, etc. Get a couple...one for the tool box and one to keep in the house
Customer Rating: Summary: A Book for General Knowledge of Mechanics Comment: This book isn't about aircraft knowledge about electronics, air, oil and hydrolics. It's a book about mechanical knowledges. Although that's not the right book I actually want, it's quite a good book.
Customer Rating: Summary: Waste of money Comment: I have an A&P license and bought this book for my son. It is a good example of quality sacrificed to feed someone's bottom line. Illustrations and figures in this book are of such poor quality that they appear to have been reduced on a copy machine, causing important details to disappear into blotches of ink. Reference tables have been reduced to the point where they are unreadable without a magnifying glass. There is no section on welding. If this is the only reference handbook on the market, then you're stuck with it -- but I sent mine back. Don't buy it.
Customer Rating: Summary: EASY Comment: It is good, and easy to understand book for both the amatuer, and professional. With lots of illustrations. It will fit well in my aviation library.
