The myth-shattering account of the most famous and most taboo love story in rock-and-roll history
Child Bride reveals the hidden story of rock icon Elvis Presley’s love affair with fourteen-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu, the ninth-grader he wooed as a G.I. in Germany and cloistered at Graceland before marrying her to fulfill a promise to her starstruck parents. Award-winning biographer Suzanne Finstad perceptively pieces together the clues from candid interviews with all the Presley intimates—including Priscilla herself, along with hundreds of sources who have never before spoken publicly—to uncover the surprising truths behind the legend of Elvis and Priscilla, a tumultuous tale of sexual attraction and obsession, heartbreak and loss.
Child Bride, the only major biography of Priscilla Beaulieu Presley, unveils the controversial child-woman who evolved from a lonely and sexually precocious teenager kept by the King of Rock and Roll into a shrewd businesswoman in control of the multimillion-dollar Elvis Presley empire, a rags-to-riches saga of secrets and betrayals that began when Priscilla was only three years old.

Customer Rating: Summary: Hmmmmmmmm Comment: I just finished this book. I just want to say that the book was very well written. It was interesting to see events told(figuratively) from the "Priscilla" perspective. If all that is written here is true, I wondered at different points in the book what must have been going through her mind at the time. I dont think anyone is going to base their moral compass on the cheating angle, because both Elvis and Priscilla did it.I do have to question after reading this if she ever truly loved him or not.She does get an "A" in my book for keeping E's empire alive and flourishing. She comes across as self serving and even if she is/was, just as the situation with the Memphis Mafia books, who the hell is anyone to really judge.I wasnt there, I dont know what was going through her mind at the time. Overall, this is a great book and definetely provides food for thought.
Customer Rating: Summary: Absolutely Riveting! Comment: This was such an awesome read! It opening my eyes to what Priscilla Presley was really like. I was so impressed by the amount of people the author interviewed for this book and the writing never contradicted itself. It is a must read for Elvis fans!
Customer Rating: Summary: The True Priscella Comment: Elvis was no saint but after I read 'Elvis & Me' & saw the movie, I found that Priscella made herself out to be too innocent. The book 'Elvis & Me' was entirely based on what Priscella said & no one else was interviewed for that book. So, I decided to read this book, numerous individuals were interviewed for this book, 'Child Bride' & I found it an eye opener & a very interesting read.
Too bad that Priscella was not more like the class act that Ann Margaret is.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Book Comment: I did like this book but, it was repetitive of other books I have read. I'd previously read Elvis and Me and also a book by Joyce Bova on her relationship with Elvis. Good book but if you really like Priscilla the author tries to paint a negative portrait of her which wasn't necessarily to my satisfaction.
Customer Rating: Summary: CHILD BRIDE Comment: Child Bride, story of Priscilla Beaulieu...I learned a lot about her and what a schemer she is. I wish she had never
met Elvis because then he would still be with us. She destroyed him for money. Every Elvis fan should read this
book. She's no angel, not a nice person...a real spoiled brat. I can't believe that after all these years he's been
gone she still makes money off him and kept the Presley name on top of all this. She's no Presley, doesn't de-
serve the name.
