How realistic is it to believe that one lover can satisfy a woman’s every fantasy?
Nia Simone Bijou is a woman who has it all - and is driven by the desire for more. Born in Trinidad, reared in Los Angeles, living in Atlanta, Nia is a writer, a thinker, and a woman in conflict. She’s dealing with two sides of her Gemini self, feeling as if there are two women living inside her, both struggling for domination. One side of Nia is a logical yet heartbroken person who has never let go of an old pain, while the other side is a sensual woman who will not let her rest, desiring intimacy and sexual freedom, demanding Pleasure.
In the sweltering heat of July, loneliness, desire, and a struggle with both the sensual self and fantasy inspire Nia to become sexually adventurous, meeting lovers who arouse her in diverse ways, lovers who give her unimaginable experiences, generous lovers who desire to please her as much as she desires to satisfy them. Fantasies spiral out of control, and with her life on the line, Nia discovers that Pleasure does not come without pain.
Filled with passion, populated with characters that are sexually uninhibited, Pleasure is an unforgettable journey into a free-spirited world.

Customer Rating: Summary: wELL.. Comment: I would like to say I love this book but Amazon could done better if they would send my info to the person i was buying the book from them..
Customer Rating: Summary: Pure Pleasure Comment: I am an EJD fan till the end. I loved this book. Ok, now see, I love Gideon and I didn't want to read a book without him, but I couldn't resist. I opened the book and started reading and read it all weekend long. It was so good that I told everyone I could find about it. I told the women at the nailshop, the men in the shoe store, the lady at the ticket counter at the theater, the chef at my favorite dinner spot and even the customer service lady on the phone for the cable company. Hey, we had to talk about something, so why not. Having an English degree, I admire and respect how Dickey ties in great literary figures. Carter did it in "Palace Council" with "Paradise Lost" and Anais as an alter ego is fantastic and perfect for this book. I love you EJD and I wish you happy writng.
Customer Rating: Summary: Hot Hot Hot Comment: This book truly shows how much Dickey has matured in his writing. This book is definitely on a totally different level from his earlier books. Nia is a character who is totally comfortable in her own skin. She knows what she wants and goes after it and discards what and who she doesn't. There are lots of twist and unexpected surprises throughout this sensual story. Any reader would get an erotic high from this book no matter what their personal taste is.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nia is a freak Comment: I've been a great fan of Dickey's work for years and am pretty familiar with his writing style. The majority of his books have erotic sexual descriptions as the background, which I'm fine with, I enjoy that about his books. But with Pleasure that seems to be the forefront of the entire book so it's overly sexual for my taste. His main character Nia has that constantly on her mind and her escapades with the twins (Mark & Karl) and Kiki is overly perverted. Nia explores her sexually wild side throughout this book and I feel that she's lost somehow by trying to fulfill a void in her life. I will continue to read Dickey's books but I will be more careful in my future selections.
Customer Rating: Summary: pleasure is very interesting Comment: the book was very good. i like how nia explored her sexual side to her. but karma can get in the way of all that. mark and karl were unbelievable and i wish mark wasnt married so he could have ended up with nia. i think he really cared about her more then karl did. the book was off the hook. if u haven't read it, shame on you lol.
