Comment: I worked as a record store clerk back in the late 80's and remember we got this video as a promo. It was my first introduction to Jane's Addiction, who by now had a pretty serious buzz surrounding them. It's been a while but I remember what obnoxious poseurs they all came off as. Some of the scenes include one dude being interviewed as he's taking a dump, another beats an eel against the floor. It seemed like they were all trying too hard to shock. On the plus side, the video does include the uncensored version of Mountain Song. For fans only.

Summary: Gimme, a Soul Kiss...
Comment: this video is way under time. i should have been at least an hour or more worth of footage. as it is, it's golden. the segments, featuring all of the band members in their prime as members of jane's addiction, are very revealing, even if they weren't meant to be. some of the footage is set up to be in a fan video, some of it seems like normal day activity. it's labeled as the fan's video and it is just that. if you are a fan this video is just as important as the three main records released by jane's addiction.the uncensored 'mountain song' video is featured here, with footage of the siamese twin sculpture being made. also footage of the might jane's live and in their element. the personalities shown on this video seem true, even if the segments seem scripted. such as, stephen doesn't like fruit, but he is gonna eat an apple for you, this is accompanied by stephen drumming on post and pans. dave, showing his neglect of his apartment, with broken mirrors, water drenched bed room, and a peach that has lived a long life in his refrigerator. eric gives a book review from his reading spot, the toilet, as well as philosophies on why he chose to smoke cigarettes, as opposed to a pipe. perry is all over this video with girlfriend casey in tow, shooting a bottle rocket, getting a wedgy of sorts while playing "i'll be the rocket, you be the sky" with casey, also showing us fans his favorite drink a, now famous 'green tea malt'. i am sure i have forgotten some wonderful scenes not to mention the kissing scene with everyone kissing everyone, also some great footage shot by karyn cantor, and the wonderful song 'city' with perry and dave. early copies even featured drug addict aerobics.
you gotta have this, if you already have the first record, nothing's shocking and ritual de lo habitual, you need to add this before you buy anything else.

Summary: A Very Unique Yet Weird Video
Comment: This video is a very awesome video. It contains the music video "Mountain Song" which is a very well directed video. There are little segments of the band on a plane, Perry shoots a bottle rocket off in a bedroom with Casey. Eric gives a book rpeort while in the bathroom. Dave shows a room where he had problem with his girlfriend and theres a segment with his pet eel. Also, Stephen eats an apple which is significant because he doesn't like fruit. That is basically the whole video except little segments.

Summary: This movie is pretty cool...
Comment: Soul kiss is a pretty cool movie, so if your a big fan of Jane's addiction than you should definatly consider adding this to your shopping cart. I really like this movie people it was produced and directed by Jane's addiction. Well, I'm Daniel so, see ya'. (oh yeah, don't forget to watch after the credits because there's still some stuff after it).

Comment: It's pretty funny and you get the idea of what Jane's Addiction is. It contains the Mountain Song music video and a song by Perry and Dave just for this video, "City song". This is a must for every Jane's fan. END
