Summary: Wonderful educational resource.
Comment: This is a wonderful video for children and adults. I have used it with older children as well as with primary school children. With younger kids, we did not show the entire video in one sitting, but used small segments to reinforce what we were learning in our owl unit. If your third-graders are reading "Owl Moon," this video has excellent footage of "owling." If you can get Owls Up Close, it's worth it.

Comment: This is a super video for grades 7-12! I would highly recommend it, just not for younger children (unless you've already shared lots of owl info with them and they are advanced learners). The Hawks Up Close Video is also best for older children.

Summary: Not for primary school children
Comment: The vocabulary and terminology used by the narrator in this video were too difficult for the elementary school child. I showed 1/2 of the video to my second graders and it was way over their heads! They were just interested in the owl catching prey and regurgitating the owl pellet. Not recommended for elementary (primary) school science programs.
