Summary: The Corporate Champion's Night
Comment: I have a confession to make... as much as I enjoyed the Attitude era in 1998 and have plenty of these classic videos; this one is my least favorite video that I only watch on occasion. Based on some of the reviews for this event, I have to admit that this one is overrated.

Val Venis & The Godfather vs D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry. This was not that great of an opener as it really gets dull and hard to watch at times. There are some nice moves but overall the match is nothing special.

The Oddities vs The Headbangers. This match was worst than the opener and I was thinking to myself that this match was shorter than the opener but it felt longer. That is not a good sign of things to come.

Owen Hart vs Steve Blackman. At least, this was a decent match but once again was sort of a disappointment; which is a shame considering the good storyline. The crowd makes this one more interesting with their response but this was my least favorite Owen match from 1998. The dumb countout ending did not help neither.

The Brood vs The J.O.B. Squad. Believe it or not, this was the best match on the card and for good reason. Anytime that you have Edge & Christian together, you know it is going to be good. Add in former ECW veterans like Al Snow & Scorpio and you have a very solid six men tag. Gangrel and the other guy were heavily overshadowed in this one by those four guys.

Striptease Match: Goldust vs Jeff Jarrett w/Debra. The story about this match was that if Jarrett wins, Goldust will strip (gross) but if Goldust wins, Debra will have to strip (YEAH). The actual match is forgettable and somewhat dull but the ending is pretty funny, especially involving Shawn Michaels, who was the commissioner at the time.

Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws vs The Big Bossman & Ken Shamrock. ZZZZ, oh sorry just woke up. This match was a yawner and the attention for the match was on HBK who kept taunting the Outlaws, which was funny and the only thing worth seeing here.

WWF Champion The Rock vs Mankind. This was a good match that gets overshadowed by their future encounters. However, this is not a lost classic considering their awesome I-Quit match and Last Man Standing bout at the next two PPVs. The match itself features mostly brawling around the arena and interference from Vince & Shane McMahon. The ending is the weakest part of the match in which Mankind wins by submission but McMahon reverses the decision, which meant the Rock would remain champion.

Buried Alive Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Undertaker. Honestly, this is my least favorite match that these two had. This match is a long and boring twenty to thirty minute match in which they go back and forth to the grave site like three or four times. The ending is kinda weak and predictable but this was there to just put over the storyline of Austin and McMahon at the Royal Rumble.

Overall, a very boring show which is a shame considering how the card looks. However, Rock/Mankind is a good one with a bad finish and the six men tag team match was pretty solid. But this is not recommended viewing.

Summary: decent ppv
Comment: the rock in my estimation was overated and i always said he would be a sellout...and wait ooooo he was. but ppv was decent, outlaws are an ok mctahc but just the rejects from the real man who created dx...shawn michaels, the wwf-wwe wihtout shawn michaels was a joke! but the overall ppv was good, and the brrod gangrel match was excellent, stone cold good perfromace, undertaker, just stale. great memories of late 90's wwf, id but the vhs

Summary: 3 stars for the event, 1 star for DVD production quality
Comment: Like the other Attitude Collection DVD I have, Unforgiven 98, this one's DVD production quality is "unforgiveable" *gets pelted with rotten fruit* for its abysmal production. Released in 2002, well into the WWF's DVD history releases, this one has NO chapters, NO menus, NO extras, NOTHING. To get from one match to the next, you have to manually fast forward like a VHS. At least in Unforgiven 98, they had a mid-way point in the event, essentially creating two 90 minute chapters in the 3 hour event. This one had nothing.

The event itself was a lackluster one, especially by the WWF's "Attitude Era" standards. By modern WWE standards, it would've been a spellbinding spectacle.

Val Venis and The Godfather vs D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry
This was a surprise, considering how little I think of all these superstars, and their initial fates in the WWF as low-card players most of their careers. They did some good stuff, but nothing that was especially spectacular. (6.5/10)

The Headbangers vs The Oddities
I was a wrestling fan since around early 2000 and as a child back then, I used to scour the depths of WWF.com's old video archive. Along the way, I encountered these guys... The Oddities. I knew of the Headbangers from my Wrestlemania 2000 game, as well as on TV, and so I knew what to expect. What I did not expect was the odd show the Oddities put on, with the 7 foot Kurrgan, looking like a thick Russian guy trying to fit in with a strange group, the other 7+ foot Silva looking like a thick Italian guy trying to fit in with a strange group, and I was amused. While not a great wrestler, Kurrgan had amazing ring presence and charisma, and Golga was surprising despite his size. This match wasn't about wrestling, but rather entertainment. (8/10)

Steve Blackman vs Owen Hart
This one was a boring match of locks, holds, fluffy light wrestling moves, and Owen Hart threatening to get counted out many times until he finally does get counted out. Garbage at worst, below average at best. (3/10)

The Brood vs The J.O.B. Squad
Like the Oddities vs Headbangers match, I knew of these groups from scouring the old archives of WWF.com and from my Wrestlemania 2000 video game. I was surprised to see them in action (and to see 2 Cold Scorpio in the WWF) and they put on a great tag team match. (7.5/10)

Striptease Match
Jeff Jarrett vs Goldust
Dull as dishwater is not an overstatement. For some reason Goldust hasn't impressed me with any of his matches, and there was little that was good about this match. Even the post-match striptease was something that would make little 12 year olds giggle and press against their doors so their parents wouldn't walk in. (1/10)

WWF Tag Team Championship
The New Age Outlaws (C) vs The Big Boss Man and Ken Shamrock
For some reason, this one was terrible. The Big Boss Man's performance was something mirroring the ghastly affair of the "Kennel from Hell" match with Al Snow, and more attention seemed to be focused on commissioner Shawn Michaels, being a former DX member, siding against the two DX members, the Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. (3/10)

WWF Championship
Mankind vs The Rock (C)
Mick Foley isn't a great wrestler and neither is The Rock, but both have immense ring presence and charisma that more than makes up for it---it makes them superstars. This match was not a show of this superstardom. Perhaps because it was a lowly "In Your House" PPV, this match was sluggish and low, and the ending was just even more terrible, with Mankind winning but McMahon claiming that he knocked out The Rock, and thus The Rock still would hold the title. (3/10)

Buried Alive Match
The Undertaker vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
This match went on too long, and had too little to offer in the way of entertainment or action. Three times the two battled back and forth from the grave site to the ring, most of the time crawling around as if they were battering one another to bloody pulps. Austin was filthy from rolling around half-naked in the dirt, and did little more than punches and kicks. Boring, badly played out match that didn't impress nor did it entertain. (0/10)

If it weren't for the shoddy DVD production, this would probably be a 3 star event, though not a very good one at that.

Summary: HAVE BOUGHT IT 4 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment: I have bought that video 4 years ago at Amazon, but I haven't reviewed it. Now I want to review it. That is great video. These are the matches here: ( NO EXTRAS)
1. WWF Championship The Rock w/ Vince& Shane vs Mankind
During the match the audients shouted Rocky sucks, Rocky sucks. During the match Mankind hit the ref with Double Arm DDT, then Shane accidentally hit The Rock with the belt. Then the ref recovered and Mankind pinned The Rock but only got 2 count. Then in the end of the match Mr. Socko( Foley's crazy socks) charged The Rock to say I QUIT. Jerry Lawyer shouted we have new champion. But VInce Mcmahon sucked, he changed the decision that Mankind can only win by pinfall or submisson not by making the enemy says I QUIT! So The Rock wins the match. Then Mankind choked either Vince or Shane. Also Gerald Brisco and Patterson. Then Shamrock and Bossman coprate to pound Mankind.
2. WWF Tag Team Championship Shamrock& Bossman w/ Shawn vs NAO
During the match the new commisioner Shawn does everything to help Shamrock& Bossman. When Billy Gunn pinned Shamrock to get three count, Shawn pulled the referee out but not get DQ. Then when Shamrock was about to roll Road out, Road was about to block it into the Suplex, but Shawn pulled Road's foot. Then when Shamrock rolled Road suddenly Road rolled it back anad got three count. Billy Gunn and Road Dogg are still the champ.
3. Steve Blackman vs Owen Hart
The match is suck. First i think it will be good but suck so much. In the end of the match Owen fell outside the ring, then Steve chased him but at 5 count Blackman went back to the ring as Owen left the ring to get counted out in the process.
4. Goldust vs Jeff Jarrett with Debra
During the match when Jarrett fell outside the ring and the ref counted for Jarrett when he was outside the ring, from behind Debra hit Goldust with the guitar until that guitar was broken. The Jarrett pinned Goldust 1-2-3 to win. But then Shawn came and decided Goldust wins by disqualified.
5. Hardcore& Bob Holly& Al Snow vs Edge& Christian& Gangrel
The match isn't too good but it's not also bad. In the end of the match Christian hit Imperial to Bob Holly to win.
6. The Headbangers vs The Oddities
The Headbangers win the match over The Oddities.
7. The Undertaker vs Stone Cold Buried Alive Match
It is the best Buried Alive match and the best match on Rock Bottom that night. It is very burtal match. Undertaker was accompanied by Paul Bearer. In the end of the match Undertaker was about to buried Austin's alive. undertaker has buried some sand to the grave but Austin can still be wake up. Then Austin hit Stunner, then Undertaker was on the grave. then austin chased Paul Bearer outside the arena. Then when Undertaker recovered Austin hasn't been back to the ring, then Kane came and tombstoned UT. Then Austin came back with a bulldozer who delivered some sand to the grave and helped Austin wins the match.
