Summary: A watered down mess.
Comment: "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" is the sequel to "I Know What You Did Last Summer". While the original wasn't terrible, the sequel was. Basically, in this rather poor sequel, Jennifer Love Hewitt's character goes with some of her friends to the Bahamas, and someone apparently still knows what she and her friends did last summer, and it looks like he/she decided to follow her to the Bahamas--or something stupid like that.

Once again, like the original, the revelation of the killer was poorly done in the sequel. However, unlike the original, there was virtually no suspense in the sequel, and the ending of this film simply solidified this movie as being complete garbage. While the first wasn't particularly good, this sequel was just plain boring. At least the original was somewhat suspenseful until the revelation of the killer basically ruined the movie, but this sequel has basically nothing to offer. That said, I have sadly seen worse.

Severely lacking in originality and basically just a weaker extension of the first, the sequel suffers from a lack of dynamic characters as well as a predictable and stale storyline and a dull and lifeless script. The acting is severely lacking in quality in this film, and the result is a watered down mess of a so-called slasher film. With this sequel, it's not that the plot is so bad as it is that that the movie just seems pointless. I mean, they didn't do anything different or better than they did before. I guess they just wanted to cash in on another teeny sequel, but for the serious horror movie viewer, it's a complete waste of time.

Summary: Pointless
Comment: I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER is a huge let down. Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) & her new best buddie Karla (Brandy) win a holiday to the Bahamas. Once there they are stranded after a hurricane warning. The fisherman shows up & starts slicing & dicing.

The sequel is nowhere near the same level as the original. Also the style is different. I KNOW was a clever build-up of tension. I STILL KNOW is all about needless gore, bikinis, tight clothes & cheap scare tactics.

I'll be fair and say that I wasn't bored by I STILL KNOW, the jumps did get me & when the action started I was drawn in to the drama. The film was OK, but it's a let down after seeing what was done first.

The thriller versus the slasher. There is a huge difference. Judge for yourself.

Summary: entertaining, but dont expect this to be scary
Comment: i really liked the first I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER and even though this sequal isent scary in the slightest, it still entertains.
good points:
-great ending (5/5)
-pretty good acting (3/5)
-smart title
bad points:
-the first thing you will notice in this movie is the overly dramatic music, which i think is a little over done, compared to the first
-the fact that evry time someone opens a door ( for no apparent reasen)
a dead body falls out. by the 3rd time im like "dont bother, theres a dead body in there". this gets really old by the end

Summary: Better Than The 1st.
Comment: Wow. I loved this movie! I thought it was better than the 1st. No it wasn't really scary, but It kept me on edge! I felt sad Jennifer Esposito died. Awwww. Anyway there wasn't a whole lot of blood but still enough. Check out this movie. One Thing,Brandy's butt looked big in those tight pants in the gym scene. I still love ya though Brandy!

Summary: Not scary.
Comment: Back in the day when I bought my first DVD player this movie came free with it.
I never saw the first one so I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie.

Like so many horror movies that came out during the Scream era this one isn't very good.
It has your usual cast of monster food, teenagers that look trendy but have zero personality.
None of the main characters have any kind of history or back story that make you care about them.

The main villain is some guy with a fishhook. Whoopee.
The monster food, (main characters) get knocked off one at a time in the usual brutal, gory Hollywood fashion.
The plot is just kind of there.
The big, bad boogeyman that was left for dead returns for more chaos, but really......who cares?

The biggest problem I have with this movie is the same problem I have with most other horror movies.
The cast is the usual pretty faces but are pretty much cardboard cutouts.
From the guys we get the usual jock, geek and stoner characters.
From the women we get the smart one, the trampy one and the other ditzes who, to quote Scream....."Run up the stairs, when they should be going out the front door. It's insulting".
Who cares if the monster gets them or not when you don't care about them in the first place?
And the monster himself?
Lame, nice fishhook.
Not scary, not innovative, another cheap, mindless cash in by Hollywood on a franchise that should have ended after part one.

It's really hard to comment further on the movie without repeating myself.
The direction is the usual herky jerky to get you to jump but since this is always done in horror movies, it doesn't work.
The movie is just a generic knock off of better and already established franchises.
Why even bother?

The plot itself is just throw away, kids run away from monster, monster chases kids, monster gets bested in the end.
The acting itself is the usual, kids drink, have sex, run away screaming away from monster.
Monster chases kids, tries to scare the audience...........and fails.
My three year old niece's temper tantrums are scarier than Mr. Fishhook.

All in all, I can't recommend this movie.
If you've seen the Halloween, Friday the 13th, or the Nightmare on Elm St. movies then you've already seen this movie but done a thousand times better.
The I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise appears to be over.
I hope Hollywood wised up in time before inflicting another generic monster mess on the public.
It's dull, boring, it really has no reason to even exist other than annoy the horror fans out there who are too savvy to even bat an eyelash at this... been there, done that nonsense.

Not recommended.
