Comment: Having gotten the same advise from 3 printer repair techs and also having seen the results of premature head wear, we ONLY use Genuine Okidata Ribbons. They last longer than the cheap copies and, according to the techs, they lubricate the pins and shafts in the head.

Comment: This is it...the real deal. I have learned that it is important to buy the Oki brand ribbon. I have tried to save money with the "compatable" brands and have nothing but headaches. I change the ribbon monthly and some of the immitations don't last more than 2 weeks. Can't go wrong with the original.
