Summary: Music to my ears!!!
Comment: I purchased this for my 4 year old. My 12 year old is in the school band and has played the trumpet for 3 years now and is very good at it. The 4 year old asked Santa for a toy trumpet to get practicing. Had to make sure it happened.....she plays it all the time. It doesn't sound like a trumpet, it is Not an annoying sound...kinda like a harmonica, but is definately giving her lots of practice and she is learning how to make the different sounds on it. We like this toy. Enjoy

Summary: Great toy trumpet for young kids
Comment: We have had fun with this trumpet at our house. It is easy enough for my son to play (he just received it for his 3rd birthday), but my hubby even enjoys playing a tune here and there, too. Its abilities are limited with only one note per "valve," but it's a toy, of course! It seems to take a beating pretty well thus far (we've had it about a month). All in all, it's a fun toy for a budding young musician. If you're trying to emulate a real trumpet closely, say, for an older child, you'll want something else (no partials or buzzing--you just blow; there are 4 "valves," etc.), but if you have a young child who just loves musical instruments and wants a trumpet, this is a great start!

Comment: My son got this trumpet for Christmas and he wont put it down, or share it with Dad :-)He noramlly plays with a toy for a little while and moves on, but this trupmet is not far from his side all day.

Comment: We bought this toy for our almost 3 year old son last Christmas, so nearly a year ago and it is still one of his favorite toys. He is hard on his toys, this one included and it has held up supremely well. The sound it makes is nothing like a trumpet and it took him a while to blow enough air into it to get more than one note out at a time, but he never gave up. He loves this toy. Now he plays "songs" and they all sound lovely and not annoyingly loud. He is nearly 4 now and we are getting him the matching Sax to go with the trumpet. I can tell you that this toy has been thown, banged, sat on, used as a bat and all. It has held up very well.
