Summary: My First Mehdi Album
Comment: And what an enjoyable album it is! Out of all the Mehdi albums, 4, 7, and 8 are my favorites, so I bought them. The rest aren't bad, and if you really like him you may want to get the gift set which contains volumes 1-8. It's a pretty good deal.
About this album, it's very calm and beautiful, a bit melancholy at times, and if you like this album you will probably like most of his others. I think the flute works perfectly with what Mehdi is trying to convey. He doesn't overdo it with one instrument though, and mixes it up with piano, guitar, and other instruments to keep it interesting. While I listen at times I find myself thinking, "hey, I could play that" and I'm not that good of a musician. But Mehdi is not about technical feats of extraordinary skill; this music is poetic, sets a mood, and is easy to follow. Everything about Mehdi is easy listening. If you are in the market for that, this album is a great place to start. If you like this kind of New Age music, also check out 2002, Mythos, Amethystium, and Blue Stone. All are fabulous artists.

Comment: I purchased Instrumental Fantasy after listening to samples and I found that the whole album is fantastic. I own all of Mehdi's beautiful CDs and this one is the perfect addition to my multi-disc CD changer. Infact 6 of Mehdi's CDs have been in there for quite a while now and they sound so nice and different that I wish my CD player had another slot for his 7th CD. Try this album and others from Mehdi. You'll find them simply irresistible.

Comment: I first discovered Mehdi when I was listening to A local radio show. I have played this one over and over again and I never tire of it. I decided to explore and look for more of his work. I bought Fantasy 6 months ago. This album has the ability to stimulate listeners' inner sensory emotions. Its a "Soothing and Adventurous" experience. Put it in your CD player, sit back, relax, strap yourself in and let Fantasy take you on a ride that will let you experience every possible emotion. Buy it and Enjoy!
