Customer Rating: Summary: The Queens Baby!!!! Comment: I loved the Queens of Comedy it was just a entertaining as the Kings. Monique, Samore, Adell and Miss Laura put it down. Samore with her sassy outfits and my home girl Monique what can I say???
Customer Rating: Summary: Sistah's are doing it! Comment: This was funny and I really enjoyed it. My girl Mo'nique did it again with her comical self. Although I felt the skinny B* jokes were too many for my liking. It was the first time I had come across the other comics and they were equally impressive and very funny. I also found out from my girl that Sommore is a half sister of Nia Long! Interesting......
Anyway its a great DVD to watch with your girls on a night in.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing!!! Comment: This DVD is full of nothing but rolling on the floor laughing. I highly recommend it.
Customer Rating: Summary: A must have! Comment: If you want to have a good time with friends or a get together this is a must have DVD. Funny and perfect for laughter.
Customer Rating: Summary: +1 for Mo'nique Comment: This is a tough film to review. It actually consists of four performances. Of the four, only Mo'nique's performance is a standout. Let's focus on her performance, since she really makes the show. Mo'nique takes the pain associated with being a Black woman of size, and transforms hert pain into cathartic beauty.
While she doesn't hate skinny women per se, she is free to speak her mind when women of size are slighted by skinny women, and really by all people in general. As a Black woman of size trying to maintain a relationship, she speaks honestly about some of the accommodations she is forced to make in order to keep her man.
Mo'nique is real, she is funny, and yes she is Beautiful.
---
Certainly, none of the other three performers are nearly as polished, and the package as a whole cannot stand up to the Kings of Comedy, Mo'nique's performance alone makes the film worth seeing.
