Summary: Beware - this is DRAWING chalk (not for a chalkboard)
Comment: I was confused and purchased this chalk for my son's chalkboard. Apparently it is not the "normal" chalk used for a chalkboard because it is extremely difficult to erase. We had to put this chalk away and use different chalk.
On the pro side, there are a lot of great colors with this chalk and if it erased easily on a chalkboard, we'd be extremely happy with it. I didn't realize there are different types of chalk for different surfaces!
