Summary: Great art and articles
Comment: North & South is the best looking of the Civil War magazines on the market. They combine excellent artwork and photographs into an appealing package that both pleases and informs. The lead article is always by one of our best authors, on their current book or item of interest. These articles are excellent, easy to read with modern style maps and photos from the Civil War. Each magazine contains up to five articles, a series of short essays and reviews of books. This is a very popular magazine that is fun to read while being informative. When picking a magazine for my Round Table to raffle, North & South was my choice. Our novice and the experienced member can enjoy it equally. Both will find something in each issue that will appeal to them.
This magazine lacks the in-depth coverage of Blue & Gray but provides more variety and eye appeal than any of the other Civil War magazines.

Comment: Of all the Civil War Magazines that I'm familiar with, this is by far my favorite; everything from the quality of the articles, to the layout and overall design of the magazine itself really appeals to me. Highly recommended.
