Editorial Reviews:

The magazine of current affairs and cultural debate in Britain. Both challenging and entertaining, the magazine seeks to make complex ideas accessible and enjoyable by commissioning the best writers, editing them vigorously and packaging their work in a well-designed and illustrated monthly.

Summary: Outstanding intellectual journal
Comment: 'Prospect' is a relatively new British public affairs magazine. In its 'About Us' page it speaks about being 'more readable than the Economist, more romantic than the 'Spectator' etc. Its aim is to be the foremost intellectual current affairs journal in Britain.
Good luck.
I recommend the magazine for long, outstanding articles a recent example of is Richard Reeves on John Stuart Mill. He shows in this article the complexity of Mill's positions, his integrity, his determination to make 'ideas' serve a practical human purpose.
In the course of it he cites Mill's famous principle,"The only purpose for which power can rightfully be exercised over any member of a civilised community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others."
I suspect no harm will be done to any reader, by from time to time reading some of the finer pieces in this journal.
