Customer Rating: Summary: I love this game!!! Comment: This game is really fun! There are many characters to choose from all with different skill levels. The sections to choose from are Trick Attack, Gate Challenge, Match Race, and Time trial. In trick attack there is some pretty great stunts to pull on the terrain park, half pipe or air make. Air make proves that you don't need wings to fly! Gate challenge allows you to unlock some second formed characters like a snowman. Match race is 4 people who love to go down hill very fast and go through difficult terrains. Time trial is one of my favorites because you can pull of many tricks in time trial but yet still be going down hill. For anyone who is thinking about buying this game, I would highly recommend it!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Sweet! Comment: This game is awesome. You get to choose your own music. You can do trick attack and free mode. And it came with a free music video/dvd when I bought it. There is one player that is too easy. And the avalanches rock!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Music! Comment: 1080 Avalanche is a GREAT game. I Usually don't like snowboarding, Skiing, Baseball, you know, just sport games in general. But this game is awesome! It has Great Graphics. And to the guy who said that there isn't an avalanche, he must not have played the whole game, because there IS so an avalanche! The Music is REALLY Great! And the tricks are awesome. The game is a little short but I love to play tracks over and over again. Sometimes it's fun to retire. Your Character does some pretty funny things! The Best place to do that Is Angel light: Frosy Shadows. I just love throwing the couple off of the balconey!
Customer Rating: Summary: Mediocracy at its Height Comment: 1080 for N64 was a phenomenal game with so much to offer. I purchased this game because I love snowboarding games, a love that began with the original. This game lacks the originality, seamless flow, and apparent intuition of the original. If you are looking for a solid snowboarding game with good controls and attainable objectives, stick with SSX Tricky or SSX 3 which are the best two snowboarding games I have played (the newest SSX, "On Tour" being a total letdown). I am glad I didn't buy this right when it came out when it cost $60; I bought it for $15 new, which was still paying too much.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great game. Everybody needs it! Comment: Here's what I liked about it:
It starts at an easy level.
The controls are realistic. If you're doing a trick in mid-air, you have to stop and get right-side-up before you hit the ground, or OUCH! (Unlike SSX 3, where you automatically correct your position)
You can unlock new clothes and boards for each character.
Each character has a unique personality and controls a bit differently (Kemen is my favorite).
And up to four people can play at once!
If you do a certain number of tricks, you'll start going faster and be invincible to other players and wildlife, but if you fall, you'll lose your invincibility and have to do your tricks again to get it back. You also have a limited amount of energy, so if you fall five times, you retire. It makes 1080 Avalanche a challenge! I found it easier to master than SSX 3, but you can't upgrade your characters in 1080 Avalanche. The different boards have different stats, though, unlike SSX 3.
All the way around, it's a good game.
