Lightweight and ergonomically designed for a sure grip, this bikini trimmer shapes and smoothes those delicate, hard-to-reach areas. A thumb wheel adjusts the blade height to five different settings that accommodate long or short hair. After two AAA batteries (not included) are inserted, the trimmer operates with a simple on/off slide button. Since the trimmer is not water-tight, it is meant for use on dry hair and should not be used in the tub or shower. The blades are lubricated for life, and are easily cleaned with the included brush. A zippered mesh travel pouch provides for safe storage and travel. Remington covers the trimmer with a two-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri

Summary: close but no shave
Comment: The safe-guard is very long on this shaver (a bit longer than a 1/4") so even at the lowest setting you can't get a close shave. (Someone else mentioned this in their review but of course I had to try it for myself. Uses AA batteries and comes w/ a mesh travel case. If you are looking for a closer trim, try a men's beard and mustache trimmer. In my opinion the length of trim this product provides is not worth the bother. I am going to purchase something else.

Summary: Only lasted through 2 battery changes
Comment: At first this seems like an awesome deal: you get a product that works well for a very low price. The only drawback is that it only lasted through two battery changes, and it doesn't take long to use up the batteries. I would recommend against purchasing this product, unless you are okay with it no longer working after minimal use. I will not purchase anymore Remington shavers.

Summary: Its worth what it cost!
Comment: At first I was a bit skeptical after reading what other buyers had wrote about the remington bkt-1000...but i did purchase it, and it works very well...although occasionally the top part that holds the razors pops off...it goes back on and would continue working...if your looking for a quick fix its a good buy

Comment: Item works great but if it gets even slightly wet, for example when you clean it, it stops working. I've bought two but now I am switching to another because I'm tired of replacing it because I cleaned it or dropped it in the sink.
