El Yucateco Hot and spicy, chipotle hot sauce from smoked red jalapenos and spices. (pronounced "chee-POHT-lay"). It is proudly the most recent member of El Yucateco family of hot sauces. It is made of smoked chipotle peppers and corn syrup. This excellent combination added to an original recipe gives as a result a bittersweet flavorthat cannot be missed! No coloring added.

Customer Rating: Summary: Best chipotle hot sauce Comment: This is the best chipotle bottle hot sauce I've found. It's in my top 3 hot sauces and on some days is #1. Great on fried chicken/chicken nuggets, potatoes, and much, much more. You won't regret picking up a bottle and trying it! Highest recommendation.
Customer Rating: Summary: The best chipotle sauce I have found Comment: I have used El Yucateco chipotle sauce on an almost daily basis for a few years. Other brands such as Buffalo don't hold a candle to it. It was previously available at WalMart stores for well under $2 per bottle. They have quit selling it, (only have the red and green habanero sauces by El Yucateco) but I have found a mid-west chain, Meijer's that sells it for $1.79 per 5 0z. bottle.
The most tasty uses I have found are egg-Mac-Muffins from Mac Donald's, chile, and tacos of the U.S. variety. It may not be for everyone but my son and his friends have discovered it and are constantly walking off with each other's bottles.
Customer Rating: Summary: Becareful if you're Mexican Comment: I ordered this sauce because I love the smokey delicate taste that the Chipotle chile is known for. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. This sauce didn't have much to offer. For starters it wasn't very hot. It's flavor was saturated with way too much vinegar and its was to sweet making it difficult to mix well with any Mexican food. Now I grew up with at least 5 home-made sauces and salsa on the table at all times so I've had my sure of hot sauces and I place this sauce right below "Tapatio". Let this be a Warning to all Mexicans your moms sauce is probably better! Or If you want the real stuff gets some Chipotles and eat them right out of a can.... If you can handle it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Chipotle Sauce Hands Down Comment: I use this on burgers, in chili, on chicken, it is Great! Not too hot, but yet hot enough with a great taste that you cannot get enough of.
Customer Rating: Summary: better than ketchup Comment: What this product needs is one of those jumbo 20-40 oz plastic ketchup-style squirt bottles. Whenever i throw a chili event, I haul out five or six various bottles of stuff. No matter what's on the table, the yucateco gets drained and I'm heartbroken.
Its decently hot, but not overwhelming. Doesnt have that hideous acrid vinegar taste that most hot sauces have. Lots of flavor, works with everything, the only way to use it is to upend the little bottle and use a big gob. Basically, anywhere ketchup is good, yucateco is better. I go to wal mart for mine, buy four bottles at a time.
