It has kept the sun and rain off my bike as well as sap from my pecan tree.With a little thought and adjustment you can get the cover to fit over your bike with the bike being locked.

I live in north central Texas and it is hot hot hot here and this cover has stood up to the Texas sun and heat with no problems at all. So, it is difficult to find a bike cover that covers it completely. This bike cover is great in that it is big, heavy, and sturdy enough to stay on the bike. For the majority of the time I have no problems whatsoever. However, sometimes we have some real freaky rains here in Florida and it is impossible to keep the bike from collecting water inside the tarp (when the rain is coming from every direction-I kid you not). Both my covers started deteriorating after sitting outside for less than 3 months in the San Diego sun (i will post a photo shortly). The covers are literally coming apart at the seams and the outer shell has started cracking.
do I expect more? why yes I do. There are a number of bike and motorcycle covers here in the same lot as mine and none of them are having these issues. This product should really be renamed *Dust Cover*.
