Comment: i was so excited to find crumpets. for years, i have looked everywhere for crumpets like i used to get at my local grocery store. they were so soft and good, with a cake like texture unlike english muffins. when i saw these, i ordered them immediately. and like a dummy, i ordered a whole bunch of them to save on shipping charges. i couldn't imagine that they would be anything but good, because how could you mess up a crumpet? what a mistake! they were dry, tough, and stale tasting. they reminded me of large pale hockey pucks. they were nothing like the crumpets i had for breakfast years ago. i was so disappointed. now, what am i going to do with 4 dozen unedible crumpets? i know! feed the ducks.
