Summary: Crap, Crap, Crap - stay far far away
Comment: Don't even bother. This thing does NOT work. The 2.5mm jack sucks & doesn't seat right when you plug it in... even when you force it down with all your might. I bought this & encouraged a friend to get one as well so we could each play with an additional person on our xboxes on xbox live all the while still allowing all 4 of us to talk.
You see, on Xbox Live (from here on out referred to as "XBL") you can play multiplayer matches with addtional controllers on your xbox, up to 4 players in the "Training" rooms. Controller 1 however is the only one that will be able to utilize communications via the headset, as restricted by XBL. The idea of this device by Datel called "Team Talk" was to split that line of communications an additional 3 ways. Does it work?

It sucks really really bad. The one or two times when I DID get it to work, I realized that the additional controllers cannot INITIALIZE communications between our teammates using the white button. For those of you who have played HALO 2, you know how crucial it can be at times to only talk amongst your teammates. Imagine a scenario where you & your teammates (using this device) are crouch crawling to an objective. One or two of them speak... uh oh - everyone can hear them, because they DO NOT have the ability to push the WHITE button to keep the communication between the team only. Your proximity to the enemy is given away & you are therefore massacered. Congratulations on your recent purchase of "Team Crap" by Datel.

Comment: I bought this system a few weeks ago with the thought in my mind "my friends are finally gonna stop nagging" and I was right. The mic's are more comfortable than the original in my opinion because they are lighter and they don't bother me when I want to set my head back against the couch. The cords are nice and long too. If I have three friends over, we can all talk and play comfortably. I use one of the mics whenever I play by myself. there's only 3 downfalls and they are minor. The first one, is that the rubber connecting the metal that goes into the splitter is kinda week, so I have to be gentle whenever I want to pull the mic out. The second is that the splitter is a little hard for me to get our of the memory card slot, that might just be because i am a little weak lol. And the final flaw is that you have to push the mic in a little hard on the splitter to get it to work. But get around these flaws and this product should be perfect for you. so if you have $20.00 extra dollars and Xbox Live with 3 nagging friends, then this product is for you.
