Summary: Excellent Product
Comment: Perfect for making bacon/sausage gravy for biscuits. I've tried using it in gumbo for another flavor trail, and a touch in green beans, and it works perfectly. As you should expect with boiling down a bunch of bacon, this product is EXTREMELY SALTY, so be very careful to use only as much as you need as per directions and don't add ANY salt to your recipe until after you've added this Bacon BASE and the flavors have blended. I never need any other salt source, so I suppose you could consider it as getting free salt in Minor's Bacon Base.
MSG Free? Perhaps. I do get ill from MSG and I can use this without having a reaction. If it has any of the MSG additives, it isn't enough to make me ill when using the small amounts of this product necessary for flavoring.
