The Vindaloo curries from the southwest coast of Indian are the hottest on the subcontinent. It does seem that the hotter the climate the hotter the curries, at least in India. This curry paste will be too hot for many but delightful for some. A recipe for shrimp Vindaloo will be found on the label.

Summary: Vindaloo - not peanut butter but d@mned good!
Comment: I became aquainted with Patak's Vindaloo paste while living in the UK and now I'm hooked. This paste isn't as much 'hot' as it is 'very spicy' and flavorful. I use it as flavoring in spicy dishes, as a topping for meats and vegtables (oh, it's great on fries!), as a 'kick-in-the-pants' to soups and noodles....oh, man! I'm salivating just thinking about it.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you mix it up in the bottle each and every time to evenly mix the oil and paste - this will give you a great product down to the last serving.
