Comment: I concur with the reviewers who wrote about the deterioration of the capacitors from daily sunlight exposure. Mine is three years old. I had it repaired a year ago for $60. Again it displays the "Service Required" message and is inoperable. Escort says it will cost me another $60. Enough! Get a BEL RX65 instead. That's what I'm going to do.

Comment: I bought this radar detector about a month ago and I've been completely satisfied by how its worked. It seems to be the best detector for the price when I researched them and I feel like I got my money's worth. Its easy to learn how to use it. It's sensitive but not overly sensitive and I'm pretty sure its saved me from a ticket at least once already.

Comment: So far 3 tickets the police will write someone else I drive a Bently and their always looking at me even if I'm not speeding this car has lots of power so it's easy to forget what's the speed limit special on the open roads of FL. the Escort 8500 x50 has not let me down yet it's worth every penny I'm very rich and rich people pays very close attention to their investments with that said this would be a better buy forget the blue one alls the same I got the red because it matches my console .
