Summary: Won'[t be able to review adequately for a year or two
Comment: I bought this product after fighting a serious japanese Beetle problem. It takes quite some time to put the product on your lawn and water it in but I have an acre. It would go quicker for a smaller area. With Milky Spore it takes up to three years to become completely effective and be spread throughout your lawn. I will try to report then what effect it will have. I have also had to use products to spray on individual plants to keep the beetles from completely eating them. I am hoping this dual control will effectively eliminate or at least make the beetles control more manageable.

Summary: good value, jury is out on how much it helps with grubs
Comment: Have been using milky spore for 6 months and I suppose I have less japanese beetles but its not dramatic difference yet. I guess it says it takes a year or two for you to see a difference but it would take all your neighbors to use the same thing to keep them from coming out. A disadvantage of this is it doesn't kill all grubs. There are products out there that kill more grubs but those you have to keep reusing. At least with this it only takes a year or so of using this and you don't have to keep reusing.

Summary: It REALLY works
Comment: I have been infested with those Jap Beetles for years. After one application of Milky Spore, the next year was less. After two years I just found 10-15 beetles all season. It works best if you get your neighbors to use it also.

Comment: Product came damaged but the shipper immediately took care the probem. Milky Spore takes time to apply. I have heard it is great to stop mole situation but it is too soon to tell.

Summary: Grub control that works.
Comment: Living in the midwest, the battle with grubs is an annual event. After years of trying other products, most of which work best when dropped directly on the grub from a height while still in the container, we came across milky spore. It's the "gift that keeps on giving" in that it multiplies itself while killing the grubs. While it may eventually reach a self sustaining (for 5 years or so) levels, we are currently applying it 2 out of 3 years. It's suddenly our neighbors that have grubs... and moles, and skunks, ... It works great. Also, we are spending about 30% of what used to be the grub budget.
