Customer Rating: Summary: Silky smooth strings that last. Comment: These strings deliver what they claim: they last longer due to their special coating. For a guitar player that used to change strings every two weeks, I find that I can get 2 to 3 times that span of playing time out of these strings without loss of tonality, activity or dynamics. For me, that makes the price reasonable.
Some folks have claimed that they can't get used to the 'feel' of the coating. I find that hard to understand, especially coming from the same guitarists that use products like 'FastFret'. It's much the same feel, last longer and there's no need for a special rag to wipe off the excess.
I find an added bonus to the coating in that the friction between my fingers and the strings is lessened, making it easier for fast runs and smooth slides while chording. Picking is easier too. Don't worry, they're not slippery, just smoother somehow. I think they came up with the perfect compromise between the two. I find I can play anything from blues to thrash - and all stops in between - with these babies. What's not to like?
Grab a pair, strap 'em on and cut loose. It takes a few minutes to get used to but you'll be glad you did.
