Customer Rating: Summary: Not very impressed Comment: I don't know why I thought this would be an aerosol, but it's a typical pump spray. No big deal there.
I started with my legs. This product does dry fairly quickly, but doesn't "evaporate immediately" as claimed, and made me feel sticky, even though I used as little as I could without risk of leaving spots undone. It gave me itchy hives on my arms and my stomach, but my skin is weird that way, so I don't know if that would happen with everyone. The smell was fairly pleasant, until I got ready for bed and noticed that I had that "self-tanner" smell going on. I had hoped that with a product this expensive they would have found a way to mitigate that smell. Finally, from past experience with self-tanners, after application I scrubbed my hands thoroughly with soap and a nail brush after application and hoped that I would wake up in the morning with at least some color.
Denied! The only color I got was the palms of my hands and my fingers, which are a nice orangey-brown despite the scrubbing. I do not have any color change whatsover anywhere else - and I mean none. I can generally judge this because I never apply to my underarms, and everything is still the same shade. I was a little shocked, since I'm extremely pale, I figured if anything, I'd be orange. Nope, just my hands.
I'm going to give it one more shot, I'm hoping it my was own mis-application or something, and I'm going to use Lava on my hands to make sure they don't turn orange again, but from my initial useage, I'm not impressed at anything other than their packaging for shipping. Customer Rating: Summary: The only bronzer for my face... Comment: My face hasn't seen the sun in years. Partly because I'm still trying to go for that English Rose Pale but Interesting look. Mostly because I don't fancy looking like a wrinkled old prune by the time I'm 35. I rely solely on bronzers when I want that sun kissed look.
I've used the Flash Bronzer by Lancome since swearing off St Tropez (I found St Tropez gave too orange a look if used too frequently). Lancome's Soleil Flash Bronzer is very easy to apply. Almost fool proof. Very natural looking, without being orange or burnt. Begins to develop on my skin within an hour.
Once again, I have ridiculously sensitive skin. So much so, I rarely use foundation or any form of 'face' makeup. That I've been able to use this for so long without any form of irritation or breakup speaks volumes. On the cheap if you ask me.
