Editorial Reviews: With heavy-duty fiberboard panels and industrial-size snaps, these attractive file storage pieces ship and store flat, and can be assembles in a snap. Comes with chrome card holder for labeling. Glossy laminate is very attractive. Holds 30 CDs in full jewel cases, 60 CD's in slim cases and 165 CD's in CD folders.
Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Defective and mishapen Comment: First of all, the image is not representative because the snaps are in the inside of the box, not the outside as depicted. And there are not two snaps on each edge, but only one--thus 4 snaps for the entire box. After visiting the IdeaStream website and viewing their Snap-n-Store products, it is clear that these are either counterfeit or an outdated or discontinued model since their models are all like the image and not like the items received. Second, 3 out of the 5 boxes I ordered were DEFECTIVE. Two of them snapped together with little or no effort. The other 3 do not snap despite herculean efforts mostly because they do not line up at all. On one of the 3 defective boxes, the only one end that snaps together is left with an opening which is almost a half-inch narrower than the width of a CD, thus impossible to use for CD storage as purposed since it is incorrectly cut. I ordered more than 20 to store all our CDs in -- they were shipped very quickly and included some free goodies, I assume because I ordered so many. Thanks! Customer Rating: Summary: Underwhelmed Comment: CD case holder fails because it is large enough to hold so many CD's that it gets too heavy! One hand is barely large enough to hold it and the weight is too great for even a relatively well-conditioned man. Another objection is that it needs a heavy elastic strap around it to ensure that the loose-fitting lid doesn't come off and allow its contents to spill out if it is tipped too far (because its heavy weight causes one to lose his grip!). Customer Rating: Summary: Just the solution for a specific need Comment: This is one of the best solutions for an ongoing problem...what to do with all of those CDs that one collects over the years. I am very particular about how I store my disk collection. I have tried those silly stands that they slide into, and those are a nightmare. I have tried boxes meant for other things, and though they keep the disks out of the light (I suspect that strong light will kill disks over time) they did not fit right, and it is hard to get consistently sized boxes. These products however, were designed only to store CDs in their jewel cases and nothing else. They are well made for the price and I have no complaints. The fiber used in their manufacture is acid free (for stability and preservation of their contents). I have over four thousand disks in jewel cases, and these boxes are just what the doctor ordered. I have a set of shelves that the boxes fit perfectly on and will use this as my storage solution for my disks from now on. This product serves my inner librarian! Buy these if you have a lot of CDs! Amourdutigre Customer Rating: Summary: Great Purchase for the Price Comment: I read many unhappy reviews about these storage boxes and was reluctant to purchase. Due to the price, I decided to give them a try anyway. Mine were not a tight fit for CD's as some said. I wanted to store many CDs in their original cases and they fit great! These were easy to put together. The lid does not go all the say down as some others mentioned and actually sits on the top of the CD cases, but I am fine with that issue. I would not hesitate to recommend these cases to anyone who is looking to store old CDs! More Reviews
