Summary: What A Clever Idea
Comment: Anyone who uses Microsft Streets & Trips know that the mobile user will not likely have their laptop going with a cable hanging out attached to a reciever that has a suction cup that does not work (due to the design and location of it). This device allowed me to stick my reciever into my Dell Axim, and now I have GPS in a handheld format that works flawlessly. This is a great idea and a great product. Thank You.

Summary: Works Great
Comment: was not sure this would work in my old dell axim X5.
But It really works great.I use it with tom tom nav5,street and trips as well
as delorme atlas 2007 and works well with all.

I like the tom tom because of address to address tracking.

Summary: First one Broke, but mostly my fault
Comment: This works great with my Dell Axim X50 and Ostia software. The first one I had broke, but I used to let the Axim hang by the cable so it was mostly my fault that it broke. I bought a new one and now I have a proper holder for the Axim that sticks to the window via a suction cup so I've had no more problems.

Summary: Thought it didn't work
Comment: Bought the adapter for my Pocket PC; Jornada 540; theoretically not supported by M$ Streets06. It took a while (7 minutes) for the GPS to obtain a fixed signal for the first time, at first I thought it didn't work; I placed it on the windowsill. It detected 2 satellites; I took it around town and it picked up a total of 9 satellites. The more satellites the more accurate it was. Now I cycle the units power and it fixes on 2 satellites within a minute with the unit in the house away from the window; at times the signal drops in the house; signal is always present outside. I'm assuming it needs an initial location the first time; that might explain why it took a while to detect the satellites.
