Customer Rating: Summary: look on the mighty pushpin and despair Comment: Buy these pushpins and marvel at the works of God and man. Millions of years ago sea creatures died and were compressed by strange and powerful geologic forces to become oil. Bold men (and women too) explored the most hazardous regions of the world to find this oil, scouring deserts and frigid waters and ice blasted terrains where no light shone for months at a time. Great machines were manufactured to drill down into the earth to get the oil. It was dangerous work and sometimes men died or were maimed in fires and explosions. But the oil was brought out of the Earth and most of it went to power internal combustion engines but some of it was turned into plastic.
Meanwhile in a forgotten part of the Milky Way a sun went nova, becoming for an instant the brighest object in the galaxy. In that explosion heavy elements were formed like carbon, silicon and iron. The iron formed into rock and the rocks, after many adventures, fell or became part of the newly forming Earth. Eons passed, civilizations rose, the iron was dug up and turned through many ingenious processes into steel.
"Hey how can we stick notes to a notice board?" someone asked one day.
Steel met plastic. The pushpin was formed. You get all this for 89 cents and a little box too. (Of course I'm just assuming it's plastic and steel, I dont actually own these.)
Customer Rating: Summary: colored push pins Comment: The actual pin is fine but, the colors you see are not the colors you get. All you get are the primary colors. Our office was looking for the odd colors...
