Depending on the season, lowering or raising your thermostat just 4° can cost an additional $35 to $50 per month. Running a booster over the same period costs about 60 cents! Just place over standard 12 x 6 floor register and plug into a 110V outlet. For wall vents, the booster easily installs with 4 screws. Features automatic or manual operation. (Optional: Plug it into an Appliance Module for remote or timed X10 control.)

Customer Rating: Summary: Waste of Money Comment: Cons:
-First of all, it is too loud. You certainly do not want this in your bedroom.
-It does not look appealing at all. It looks like a huge brick on top of your register. I saw another product that is flushed on the floor, looks much better and yet even more expensive. (I can not review it as I do not own it).
-Cheap plastic and construction.
-The difference in temperature is almost negligible
-Expensive
-You need to have a power outlet close to your register
Pros:
Customer Rating: Summary: Solved Our Cooling Problem Comment: Our master bedroom is on the top level of our house, two levels above the central A/C blower unit for that part of the house. Our master bedroom is also at the very end of the HVAC run, and has large windows that take up most of the east wall of the room. As a result of all of these factors, in the summer our master bedroom was about 5 - 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. We had tried everything we could think of to force more cold air up into the master bedroom, including shutting off the vents to the lower levels of the house. Nothing seemed to help in any noticable way.
Finally, I decided to try out the Suncourt Equalizer EQ2 register booster fan. I bought two, one for each register in our master bedroom. I do not bother with the automatic controls, so cannot speak for how well they work. I simply put them on manual mode and let them run constantly. The difference in the temperature of our master bedroom is amazing. During the hottest part of the day, it is now the same temperature as the rest of the upstairs rooms in our home (due to the open construction and high cathedral ceilings in the house, the upstairs rooms are almost always a couple of degrees warmer than the downstairs rooms), and in the morning the master bedroom is actually the coolest room in the house! The only downside is that the fans are not exactly quiet, but they're not so loud you don't get used to them pretty quickly, either.
All in all, this product worked as advertised, and better than I expected. I would certainly buy this product again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worked until fan burned out Comment: I used it for A/C in the summer, and it worked fine for about a year, then the fan burned out.
Customer Rating: Summary: It helps but don't expect miracles. Comment: I have been using 3 units for many months. My upstairs temperature varies quite a bit from the main floor. I have 2 of these units in one room and one in another. The room used to be about 6-8 degrees different than the main floor. I am guessing it is now more like 3-5 off. That is in the winter. I haven't used them in the summer with the AC yet.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bought it based on a recommendation. Love it! Good Product Comment: What a neat idea. Had a friend recommend it so I bought one to try and warm up my spare bedroom. Plug it in, turn the knob to set it, and it does a very good job. Keeps my bedroom about 5 degrees warmer than it was. I didn't really notice the fan noise, it just fades away for me. It's nice to run across products that work as advertised.
