There's just something about the Ferrari. The sleek Italian automobiles first captured the racing world's attention in 1950, while simultaneously intriguing the casual driver with their sporty cars. Fifty plus years later, Ferraris continue to wow the racing and consumer markets. The folks at Oregon Scientific rank among the Ferrari's vast legion of fans and, as homage to the fast car, created this limited edition Imola Ferrari Speedometer travel alarm clock. With a Ferrari-emblem adorned sliding faceplate for protection in transit, the stylish clock also relays the indoor temperature for current climate information. Decorated in Ferrari racing colors, the LCD clock screen presents the time of day by the hour and minute in 12- or 24- hour format. The clock can receive radio transmissions from atomic clocks for exactitude. To alert sleepy users, the clock features an alarm that grows in volume over 2 minutes, with an 8-minute snooze function. Users choose between a standard beeping alarm or the sound of a Ferrari revving. A HiGlo electro luminescent backlight also expands visibility in dim lighting. The clock measures indoor temperatures ranging from 23 to 122 degrees F. Two included AAA batteries power the clock. Oregon Scientific offers a limited one-year warranty. The clock measures 3.15 by .98 by 3.15 inches. This item weighs 10.4 ounces upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling
