Summary: Disappointing product
Comment: The pad barely heated up. After testing it for several hours only the center portion got warm - and that was it - warm. No actual therapeudic heat. I called the Sunbeam 800 number and was told to return it to the store where I purchased it. I also tried a $49 model which got a little warmer, but not the healing heat I got from a 20-year-old pad I planned to replace.

Summary: Sunbeam builds perfect...lemons
Comment: This heating pad is a total failure. Don't waste your time or money with it. It may actually work for a couple of times and then it will show the all too familiar F1 or F2 on the screenpad. Too bad the people at Sunbeam forgot to write in the manual what that means...or why it ceases to work when this happen. They must never use their products since this thing won't work. They should probably start selling this as a nice puzzle. Useless.

Summary: Nice feel, good control, does everything well but provide heat.
Comment: It has a good solid well-built feel, and with eight heat settings and controllable auto-off times, what more could you want? Well, you might want heat. At the highest setting, it's just barely lukewarm. But today, during a power failure, with the house on generator power, I turned it on and at the lowest setting, it almost gave me serious burns. Definitely the electronics need some improvement.

Summary: Weak heat
Comment: I agree with the reviews that found the heat to be lacking in this product. It does get not warm enough to do any good. Avoid

Summary: do not buy! very disappointing!
Comment: After using this thing for more than an hour, I still couldn't tell if my body was warming the heating pad or if the heating pad was warming my body. I tossed it under the bed in disgust and haven't used it since. It's got the fancy-smancy controls and velcro and looks pretty and shiny, but it's a major disappointment.

Remembering Mom's old heating pad, I went online and bought a USED heating pad - that dates back to the 1960s. When it arrived, I was pleased as punch. Fire that thing up and put it on LOW and the radiating warmth sends you to a state of raptured bliss. Set it on high and you'll be able to drop a couple eggs on it and fry 'em up real nice.

But this Sunbeam Heating Pad (featured here) is a waste of money. I was profoundly disappointed in its performance. On its highest heat setting, the warmth really is barely discernible. If you're in pain, you don't have time to waste on this.
