The 630B Vornado Air Circulator can move air up to 70 feet! Unlike a household fan, the Vornado air circulator uses signature vortex action to fully circulate all the air in the room, eliminating hot and cold spots.
Ideal for small to mid-size rooms, such as a bedroom, kitchen or office. Operates at a whisper-quiet level. This air circulator can be placed on the floor or tabletop.
The 630B has a three-speed control, fully directable airflow and a limited 5-year warranty - although our customers tell us their circulators far out last 5 years!

Comment: Works great. Not as quiet as the older model and larger Vornados we have had for over 8-9 years. Moves air really well.
It's no longer made in the US.
Our other fans are run almost continuously for the last few years and have never broken down. That's great durability. We'll see if the made in China fans last as long or hold up as well.
I wish they would return to the old model stand which you could tighten the knobs on the side to switch the angles. The single arm bent tube style sucks at keeping a good angle.
This small model has no option to change angles but that's fine since it's for a small room.

Summary: Failed completely after less than 4 months
Comment: Yesterday, I turned the fan on, heard a *pop*, and it died. No response on any of the 3 speed settings. Now I have to ship it back to Kansas for warranty service, though I expect it to cost about $25 in shipping charges (both ways) to get it fixed. I'm pretty disappointed...

Summary: Powerful and quiet at first, then odd noises developed.
Comment: I really liked it at first.
Talk about moving some air. Worked great for a bit, then the rattling started. First only on the highest setting, then eventually made it down to the lowest. It started out as a vibration then became an off beat clicking. Seems to come from the motor or near it. Drove my wife crazy, light sleeper.
So I exchanged it, and it worked great for a time. Then it started to vibrate, and eventually the same clicking. Frustrated, I went to a local store this time, instead of exchanging it online again and bought a different vornado model. Worked great at first, then after a few days developed the clicking sound again. It isn't the blade hitting anything, if I had my guess I would guess the powerful motor throwing something balance.
Bought that back to the store, exchange. Fourth unit now, quiet stable, I was finally happy. What a great fan.
Last night it started again, all I could do is groan. click, click..space.. click..click..click.. Ack.

I won't give it less than three stars, the clicking can be lived with. It is pronounced and not timed so it stands out. Not good for a light sleeper but if you can live through offbeat sounds, your good. Other than that, seems solid.
Too bad, I read so many good things about Vornado, I was pumped to get a high quality fan and was willing to pay. They start out really quiet, so if you can get it to stay that way, you will be happy.

Summary: It works as promised.
Comment: The Vornado does move the air throughout a room, allowing us to keep our air conditioning set at 80 degrees and still remain comfortable. There are two cons that resulted in a 4-star review from me instead of a 5-star.
1. It is not "whisper quiet."
2. The switch to turn it off or set the speed is not conveniently located.
Otherwise, this product works as promised. If you are interested in saving money on air conditioning, this is the way to do it. I look forward to seeing if it works as well moving warm air around the room in the winter.
