It is easy to swallow and cannot expand as easily in the throat like Metamucil capsules and create a choking hazard; just take a 2-4 of the small tabs with a glass of water. Since it contains orange, apple, prune and oat bran fiber in addition to the psyllium it is a balanced supplement, similar to what Brenda Watson recommends in Sprinkle Fiber - Fiber35 Diet system supplement. That one contains acacia fiber, but she has only large sweet chewable tablets of it available. I have modified my diet somewhat, and now I take 3-6 of these fiber pills every day. It's hard to find supplements that contain both soluble and insoluble fiber, but this does, in a 50-50 ratio. Easy to swallow. You don't chew these. I prefer simply swallowing instead of a chewable. I have noticed a difference. Great stuff.
