The color is a nice compromise between a deep brown and a berry--you'd never notice it wasn't brown unless you looked closely but it really complements brown eyes. And it lasts all day! It glides on easily and stays in place the entire day. Sometimes, I may need to touch it up lightly, but still is the only eyeliner that I will use. The sharpener needs some improvement, the tips sometimes break in it, but other than that, there is no better product.
