Summary: Allergic to other toothpaste? Not this one!
Comment: I became allergic to an ingredient (sodium laurel sulfate) found in other toothpastes but not in Rembrandt extra gentle. The skin in my mouth would actually peal off when I used other toothpastes. If you have experienced this problem, this will most likely work for you. And, of course, it whitens and brightens and cleans my teeth perfectly. It is truly a great product.

Summary: Genuine canker sore relief
Comment: I developed horrible canker sores after being put on a particular anti-rejection drug. They were so bad I could neither eat nor sleep and drinking was tough, too! Sodium lauryl sulfate is used in almost all toothpaste cuz it makes the bubbles but it's also been shown to cause the sores. I can't use anything else if I want to be canker-free. DEFINITELY worth the price.

Comment: Nothing else works and it is difficult to find in stores. Give it a try, like many others I did and will never go back to regular toothpaste.

Summary: AMAZING.. virtually NO more canker sores
Comment: I suffered with canker sores for about 10 years until I found this product. I used to get canker sores every few weeks, sometimes several at a time. Since using this toothpaste, I have not gotten almost no canker sores -- I think 1 or 2 in 3 years of using it. HIGHLY recommended.

Summary: Definitely Reduces Canker Sore Occurrences
Comment: I had been suffering with canker sores all my life and family doctors and dentists had not provided any means of relief. One day I decided to do extensive online research and found that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), present in most toothpastes, was a leading cause of canker sores. I tried Rembrandt Toothpaste for Canker Sore Sufferers and it has dramatically reduced the occurrences and severity of canker sores. It may take a while for the effect of SLS in your present toothpaste to wear off, so don't just try Rembrandt for a week and give up if you still get a canker sore. My incidence of canker sores quickly dropped off and I have been almost canker sore free for several years now.
It is a shame that Rembrandt Canker Sore toothpaste is so hard to find locally, and that Rembrandt has renamed this product to Extra Gentle, downplaying the real benefit as a canker sore reducing toothpaste.
