Summary: Good versatility as a mouse and a presenter
Comment: I am very pleased with the Gear Head Wireless Presenter Mouse. It is a comfortable wireless mouse, with all the features you'd expect from a wireless mouse. Plus, you can use the track ball to scroll sideways when in Excel and other programs which I like. It switches quickly and seamlessly to presenter mode when picked up. I like being able to use the track ball when in presenter mode too, another useful tool if switching between programs. The batteries last several days in continuous use too.
There are 2 drawbacks that prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating:
1) the track ball is very sensitive when scrolling and I sometime give up using it. it often goes straight to the top or bottom of the page. I have tried adjusting this in the Mouse settings but it doesn't seem to make much difference.
2) it would be great if you could choose which programs should be in the pop up menu when in presenter mode.
Overall, I would buy this mouse again, and everyone who borrows it likes it and wants one. Good value for the price.

Summary: The jusry is out
Comment: Jury is out for two reasons. The first mouse was decfective. The second one has not been fully tested in the field. The good news is the second mouse shipped worked perfectly right out of the box. I am still a bit concerned about the instructions for installation that say to remove all other mouse drivers on my MS Vista/Dell laptop to "avoid any conflicts". I need to be sure the Gearhead stuff works with the Dells built in trac pad. Perhaps in a month or two I can re-visit this initial experience and update these comments.

Summary: Great gadget
Comment: A great tool for the business professional. This mouse-presenter adds that little touch that makes you more comfortable when giving a presentation - especially if you like to move around and interact with the audience. the look of it has that Sci-Fi feel that makes you just want to use it often, polishing it at the end of the day to maintain that high gloss finish.
The movement, control and feel are quite smooth and it fits nicely in your hand.
My only critic is that it with the cradle could have been a bit more compact, but what the hey. Still a great gadget!

Comment: I've been very happy with this presenter mouse. It has worked well for presentation and as a wireless mouse. It's also great fun to watch the cats chase the laser!

Summary: Not very vista friendly
Comment: After purchasing the mouse I noticed it didn't list vista as a compatible O.S. This mouse worked fine at first then after a few days the optical mouse mode quit working. It only worked in presenter or ball mode. I went to their site and downloaded the newest drivers and it worked again but now after a few weeks the optical mode won't work again. The instructions warn that exposing the light sensor on the bottom of the mouse to bright light would damage it. I'm sure that never happened. My office is fairly dark. I will try to reinstall the drivers and the next time I purchase an wireless optical mouse I will make sure it lists vista as an compatible O.S.
