Customer Rating: Summary: Best shoes on the market! Comment: These Asics are much better than the $89 and below models. The Kayano's form fit to your foot and have a better overall design. I have run in the cheaper Asics models for years and now that I switched to the higher end models I will never go back. Also, it comes in a 4 E which is good for those of us with wide feet. Very good product and I give it 5 stars! Customer Rating: Summary: This shoe design has a SERIOUS flaw. Comment: Your big toe will chew through the top of the mesh-like construction in under 60 days. Atop that, I got the wrong color, even after the seller ASSURED me that this was a defect with the AMAZON.com website.
Currently awaiting a refund from the seller.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best shoe money can buy Comment: I have owned dozens of Asics sneakers, and loved them all, but after years of running, I have developed heel spurs/plantar fascitis, and needed more support than they were offering. I tried the high end offering from different brands like the Saucony Pro Grid Tirumph and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS. They were great shoes too, but not much better than my old Asics. Then I went to the Addidas Supernova. The cushioning was fantastic, but I still had foot/heel pain. I didn't think any sneaker was worth $135, so I stayed away from these.
Finally, when the Kayano 14 came out, a local store had the Kayano 13 on sale for $70, so I tried them. They are worth the $135 and then some! These are the best sneakers I have ever run in. Incredible cushioning, fantastic support, great breathability, and the usual top quality construction you can expect from Asics. The pain didn't go away entirely, but it was much more tolerable.
Then my podiatrist recommended Superfeet insoles. I tried the green variety in these shoes, and the pain is long gone. The insoles are another $30, but these shoes with those insoles are worth whatever you have to pay for them...they are the ultimate combination. I am now back in marathon training mode, after a year and a half of barely being able to walk more than 15 minutes without being in pain. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Shoe Comment: This is the 5th pair of Keyano I've owned. All of them take a little while to feel really good (probably 15-20 miles), but once you hit that, they feel great and are a very durable shoe. Customer Rating: Summary: Great shoe! Comment: I bought these for my son for track season. They held up superbly during training season as well as track season. He had no problems breaking them in. They were used for running on grass, sand, mulch and concrete with no problems. He has been using them for running since track season has ended. They still look fantastic and are not showing substantial wear.
I believe they are worth the money because they didn't cause him pain or any foot problems. We will buy a new pair each season. I highly recommend these.
