Comment: The Andis 18380 ProMotor Power Fade Hair Clipper, 20 Piece Kit is a hair clipper kit that is under $30. quite honestly you do get what you pay for. these clippers are sold for a low price and give you low quality. the blades do not run smooth, the motor does not run really quiet. the blades pinch and pull hair as opposed to clipping and cutting it. the case gets hot when running the clippers for over 13-15 minutes, hot to the point you have to put them down and let them cool down. i wouldn't recommend these clippers to anyone.

Comment: I bought this clipper to replace a rechargeable trimmer. I cut my husband's hair with scissors, and only use this clipper to trim the neckline and around the ears afterwards. We also like the cape, scissors, comb and brushes that come with the set. We thought the price was very reasonable. However, my husband says it heats up too much for other than trimming.

Summary: Save a bundle with this pro tool!
Comment: This was exactly what I needed to clip my hubby's hair. We were spending $15 every three months, and with a baby on the way decided I needed a good quality tool that would do a salon quality job. In the past, I had purchased a cheap kit from a local store (generic brand) and got horrible results, my hub was the laughingstock of his work. I was banned from cutting hair and he went back to the "pros". Well, after getting this gem I cut his hair last night, and he was skeptical but thought it was worth a shot if it would save us money. Well, he got the second best haircut of his life! It was far superior to Great Clips, where we normally go, and had smooth, non "jagged" look like other razors. My only complaints were that the instructional video not only lacked audio, but had been produced in the 80's, so is basically worthless unless you want to give a man/boy a buzz cut, or a woman an 80's boufant hairstyle. Also, the "fading" clip was worthless and made it more patchy. I found that it was easier to fade by using a higher number the further up the hair you went (no. 2 on bottom, 3 at base, and 6 for the top). Thanks Andis for saving me a bundle, one more cut and I'll have already paid for the clipper with savings, and with the high quality I'm sure it will pay itself over 100s of times.
