Customer Rating: Summary: excellent cd! Comment: Bought this to replace the one that a friend borrowed and never returned! lol
Customer Rating: Summary: Oh my god! Comment: I love this CD so much I just ordered 4 more as gifts! She is awesome, just really blew me away...
Customer Rating: Summary: joss stone Comment: The music was okay, but not great and not really what I thought it would be.
Customer Rating: Summary: a little too slick Comment: I have every sound recording Joss Stone has ever released as far as I know, including special iTunes and AOL sessions, her Christmas single, tracks with other artists such as Santana and all three of her full length albums. I'm a big fan. However, I'm not such a big fan of this album. The production is just a little too slick. There are too many tracks with strings... and it's obvious they are programmed, not real. This album just lacks the raw R&B power of her first two full length albums, and frequently it feels to me like she is trying to sing pop music... not R&B. Stone chose the kind of music she wanted to sing, R&B, rather than letting sound moguls trap her into pop star fame. They'd be best advised to let her sing true R&B and not gloss it up too much. It doesn't work very well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Joss with a brand new sound Comment: I have been a fan of Joss' music since she hit the scene. Despite the perfect vocals, her lyrics are very emotional and smart. I really like her musical influence, and collaborations, especially on this album.
Joss stated herself that "Introducing...." was exactly what she wanted to do, a completely independant album. She wrote herself all the songs, which was not the case on the previous two albums.
I listen to this album constantly, and I really can't get enough of it! It's her best one yet!
