Editorial Reviews:

Yes is one of the most innovative and successful rock bands of all time with a career that now spans five decades. In 2003 the band made their first appearance at the Montreux Festival, despite having a long association with the town itself (they recorded there frequently in the seventies). It was a triumphant night and is regarded by both the band members and fans as probably the finest Yes gig ever to be filmed. It has been much in demand and is now finally cleared for release.

Summary: Can it get any better than this?
Comment: I'm a big Yes collector since the '70s but this show exceeded all my expectations. Yes sounds better than ever and the song selection is better than on the Tsongas show, too. For example, the 2003 version of "Awaken" is so much better here than heard from 1977. It's deeper and richer and quite simply will make your hairs stand up -- one of the most stunning live songs I've ever heard.

Comment:
I rented the Blu-Ray from netflix three days ago and now I bought one here at Amazon. A great addition to your musical BR collection. The PQ and AQ are excellent. The audio is excellent, crisp, clear and precise. The video is great too, well lit(stage), sharp, clear with no visible compression artifacts or blocking. Colors are vivid but not pushy. It's a pleasure to watch. I still have my ticket stubs from the "In The Round" show at MSG.
Yes, I am that old......errr,

Summary: Impeccable DVD quality and FLAWLESS show! A 'must own'!
Comment: This ecstatic concert DVD literally brought tears to my eyes! I was (and still am) a huge YES fan in the 70's and 80's, but like many other middle aged, 'aging rockers', my life has been diverted by marriage and children. I don't nearly have the time anymore to devote to my guitar playing and/or movies, concerts, hobbies, etc. So when I walked into a Borders to buy a coffee and newspaper, seeing this DVD on display was an impulse purchase. After viewing it, even with a screaming, rambunctious 3 year old providing backround noise, I can say that it was the best impulse purchase i've ever made! Visually and sonically, the DVD is flawless. THIS IS HOW A CONCERT DVD SHOULD BE DONE!!! The camera angles and edits are perfect, as is the lighting and sonics. The performance itself was CLOCKWORK, and everyone from one of the all-time classic YES lineups were there (Anderson, Howe, Squire, Wakeman, White) in 'top form' and then some. It was amazing to see how these rock gods look fairly recently (2003), and they have aged well. The playing/performance may as well be out of the seventies, they were so tight vocally and instrumentally. This is easily one of the best concert DVD's i've ever seen, and I know i've got at least 200 in my collection. You've GOT TO get this one for your collection. YES is a seminal and legendary prog/art/rock band, and this live performance captures their essence perfectly! LONG LIVE YES!

Summary: An outstanding evening of Yes Music
Comment: Here we have the third best Yes concert released to date, after The Symphonic Music of Yes and their 35th Anniversary Concert - Songs from Tsongas.

In the Montreux concert Yes provides hours of enjoyment on this two CD set.

Steve Howe, Rick Wakemen, Chris Squire, Alan White and Jon Anderson are all in fine form.

What is totally amazing about Yes is the synergy of their combined talents exceeds any musical group past or present.

The concert is basically in three parts, with a mix of classic and new releases. The group opens with some electric fare, and then performs acoustically before closing with some of their best works.

Whether you have been tuned into Yes for decades, or have recently discovered their body of works - all will enjoy this concert.

Summary: The is not a good performance
Comment: I thought this performance was lame and fell way short of my expectations. I am not a true Yes fan but I own the Fragile album and think it is very good. The lead singers voice is very week and sounds off key, the bass solo had no substance, the music has no energy, and the music seems a little slow. I am glad I test drove this album on Netflix before getting this one.
