Recommended by chiropractors, massage therapists, and craniosacral therapists, this tool can help to release accumulated stress by relaxing the autonomic nervous system. It has been claimed that the Still Point Inducer can even lower a fever as much as four degrees farenheit. The Still Point Inducer may also have a positive effect on chronic and acute musculoskeletal problems including degenerative arthritis.

Customer Rating: Summary: not to my expectation Comment: my friend bought this awhile back. The same product. But it was a one piece rubber. Although it was 10 years ago, I guess they have cut cost, but at least that should be in the specifications. My still point inducer lasted one week. The rubber top piece is attached to a plastic bottom piece. Well, if you ly on it for trapezius work, it collapses, because it's hollow inside. So I super glued the the bottom, it worked better. I highly recommend the Theracane over this product for like $5 more. Body Back Buddy Massage Cane Sold by: Pro Therapy Supplies $34 with s/h included.
Customer Rating: Summary: cheaper possible solution Comment: Not to "dis" this product but I found in a Physical therapy book that if you put 2 tennis balls inside a sock you can create kinda the same thing. Certainly worth a try before you buy this.
Customer Rating: Summary: Doesn't quite work for me, and somewhat limited use Comment: Still point inducers are supposed to have a variety of health benefits related to illnesses or conditions that are caused by head/neck alignment issues. Supposedly, by propping up the head in a more natural position with limited body contact, it relieves pressure on the neck and stimulates bloodflow. This in turn can alleviate arthritic neck conditions, headaches caused by poor posture, etc.
However, this device didn't really do any of that for me. In retrospect, looking at the device, I guess there's no reason I would think that it would. I bought it to help me relax my neck which can get stiff sometimes. Honestly, it doesn't do much but act as a prop for my head when lying on a hard surface.
The device is not without merits however. The material is firm enough to support your head but it does give way with enough weight (so its soft enough not to hurt your head). Further, it's mildly relaxing to just rest your head on it. Also, I've found that I can use it in conjunction with a Spine-Worx or lumbar stretcher to support my head instead of using a pillow. However, for my neck tension, I find a Dr. Riter's Real-Ease far more relieving. Hope that helps!
Customer Rating: Summary: Not quite right for me. Comment: I thought this might be the perfect solution to my headaches that radiate from the base of my skull. Pressure usually leads to relief. The inducer CAN work, but I need to work at it. I was hoping to be able to comfortably lay my head on it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Who would 'a Thunk! Comment: I saw the still point Inducer in a health catalog for much more, and was pleased to see it sold here at such a reasonable price.
I used it a few times already, and do feel it has helped my upper spine area-- plus, the rubber is strong yet comfortable
