Summary: worked like a miracle
Comment: My son has suffered from chronic constipation since he was 3 years old. He is now almost 7. We had tried everything else under the sun before resorting to medication, but the Miralax has truly been a miracle. It has taken almost 2 years to get him to daily movements. We have learned that he must take his Miralax first thing in the morning, and it took time to determine the dosage that produced regular results - all under our physician's care! We are now to the point of beginning - slowly - to reduce his dose and eventually hope he can stop taking it altogether. In the meantime, read the product information and talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This product was a life-saver for our family!!

Summary: Buyer Beware
Comment: My daughter was on Miralax for over a year, until I realized it was doing more harm than good. Miralax is polyethylene glycol, or PEG. You may find it by other names, but it will still be just as bad for you...please educate yourself before using this drug. First of all, Miralax often burns on the way out (we thought this was diaper rash at first -- it wasn't--people who drink Miralax for colonoscopies often get the same symptoms). Second, it is not approved by the FDA for use in children (for whom it is often prescribed). Third, it may be causing neurological problems in some people who take it. Fourth, there are better options that don't entail risking your health. Fifth, it does stop working after a while.
If you are thinking of taking Miralax, do yourself a favor and go see a chiropractor, herbalist or naturopath first.

Comment: You have to use it for 2-3 days before it starts working, but then you use it regularly and it works much better than other Fiber-type products. I don't know where you can find it in this large size in a retail store (other than warehouse stores), but I can't find it in my locale. Since I also use it daily, it's good to be able to get it through Amazon.
