Summary: Sturdy bracket for flags or other uses
Comment: I bought a pair of these brackets to install some flags. They work wonderfully. They are adjustable through a large range, and solidly built. They have not been out in the elements long enough to comment on their durability, but if their construction is any indication, they'll hold up just fine. Although we are using these for flagpoles right now, I could see any number of other uses where you want a 1" pole attached to a wall. I would even consider using them to put up a temporary handrail, they're that sturdy.

Comment: the bolt and wingnut that are used to hold the pole at the desired angle were pretty flimsy as shipped. it wouldn't hold the bracket in place. when I added a nut that I could wrench, the bolt broke.
I replaced the shipped bolt and wingnut with a sturdier stove bolt set from the workshop and it seems to be very solid now. looks like it will last a long time.

Comment: Very reasonable price and works great. With cordless drill had it up in about a minute. Sturdy, we had some very high winds just after I put it up and it held up perfectly. You will need to tighten the wingnut with pilers and not just your fingers so it will stay.
