The Turtles stage an assault on the base, only to find a bigger, baddder Sh'Okanabo - with an army of Kanabo Drones hiding on the dark side of the moon! And, to add to the chaos, Darius continues to ruin the lives of the Turtles with his evil "Dark Turtles" as he tries to take over Cody's company.

Summary: TMNT - FAST FORWARD
Comment: WHEN MY SON WAS GROWING UP HE AND I WOULD WATCH THE TMNT'S EVERY SATURDAY
MORNING. NOW THAT I HAVE TWO GRANDSONS, WE TOO, WATCH THE TMNT'S EVERY
SATURDAY. THEY ARE TOTALLY ENGROSSED IN THIS DVD. THE TURTLES HAVE GROWN
UP AND ARE MUCH MORE ADVANCED. THIS DVD HAS LESSONS TO BE LEARNED, ACTION,
KINDNESS AND AMUSEMENT (PROVIDED FOR BY MICHAELANGELO. I RECOMMEND THIS
DVD TO BOYS 3 AND OVER AND TO THE GRANDMAS TOO.

Summary: ....strike hard & vanish w/out a trace.....
Comment: Despite all the mixed reviews on this last season & "fast forward" in general, it was a nice breathe of fresh air to see our heroes transported to another realm for 2 straight seasons & into a more sci-fi oriented genre. The main cast stayed the same along w/ seeing new allies, & villains was a nice shot in the arm. The return of a rehabilitated Bishop ( as president no less) making amends w/ Baxter Stockman was plain ingenious. Also, kudos to the character & overall visual designs of the show. They did a great job in coming up w/ a futuristic world for the turtles. "The Cosmic Completest" is an absolute classic! I hope to see more of Aram Zado in the future. It's an excellent price for the entire conclusion to this final season as well. The only real let down is there aren't any cool behind the scenes special features.

Summary: A Stronger Second Half!
Comment: A lot of people have their gripes with TMNT: Fast Forward, but I personally always supported the change since the beginning.

This Second set of 13 episodes has a stronger feel, and a much more progressive story. Now that they have established a lot of the characters, they can explain a bit more about them, or just develop them further.

Some of the better episodes are "Head of State", "DNA is Thicker than Water", "Zixxth Sense" and of course "The Day of Awakening". one of the best (and possibly the funniest) things I discover in these episodes is a particular Villain (not bishop) still lives!

I say, if you are a TMNT fan through and through, and you like or own the first 13 episodes . . . do yourself a favor and purchase this DVD set! I am REALLY glad I did.

Summary: The More Things Change...
Comment: Despite what many people claim, Fast Forward is not a bad season at all. While it is not as good as the previous five seasons, it is still an enjoyable romp with the ninja turtles. There are still plenty of interesting characters and villains for the turtles to fight, and you may also find solitude that the Fast Forward theme is not a permanent change, just a season-long one. While it's understand that people would call this the series' "Jump the Shark" moment, it's still far from the worst cartoon you can find on television; especially if you are a kid. The series still offers interesting plot twists, characters, nice action, and a promise that, yes, the more things change, the more they also stay the same.

Summary: The time jump is over??
Comment: This set will collect the last 13 episodes of the TMNT: Fast Forward revamp. If the street date is correct, the set will be released before the last six episodes have aired on 4Kids tv (though they might air on digital cable first).

When I reviewed the previous Fast Forward volume, I was relatively disappointed with how 4Kids had revamped the series to be lighter and funnier for the kiddies. Over time, I guess my attitude has softened. While Fast Forward still isn't perfect, it's a relatively entertaining diversion. This second batch of episodes are stronger than the first, with Cody finally confronting his corrupt uncle and Shokonabo's master plan coming to light. The Turtles graduate to the ninja level of Chunin, Torbin Zixx returns to play both sides, and old foes from the past take revenge.

Really, I'm almost a little sad that Fast Forward will be cancelled and retooled, presumably re-modeled after the successful TMNT cgi film. While a return to dark and gritty is better, the Fast Forward concept was finally beginning to get its groove. Hopefully the last episodes will be memorable, and leave Fast Forward as more than a passing footnote in the Turtles' history.
