Summary: Very disappointed...
Comment: I purchased this unit as a replacement for a Wahl unit I had (see my earlier review). With the Remington name standing behind it, I had great expectations for it; however it has only been another letdown; I expect it will be soon be sharing the same fate as the Wahl, i.e., it will be heading right into the garbage can.
I thought that, since this is a more expensive unit, it would be of better quality; but this is not the case. The cutting action is very poor. Even more disappointing, is that after only a few uses, the blades are already getting dull. The plastic beard guides, for whatever reason, don't seem to work well. Additionally, the design of them makes them cumbersome to remove and re-attach. It's one redeeming characteristic is it's reasonably quiet operation--far better than the Wahl.
I'm giving it two stars, but I'm being very generous here. It's more to only point out it's a better unit than the Wahl, but only marginally. I'm once again looking for a replacement trimmer.
My advice: Don't waste your money!!!!

Comment: Excellent product...the stand which holds the main unit and accessories is very helpful. We definitely recommend it.
