Summary: over hyped
Comment: Having used a Braun shaver for several years, I was looking to the newer Pulsonic shaver last year. Unfortunately, I found myself having to work twice as hard to get a good shave. I thought maybe the problem was with the cutting blades, so I ordered a new foil and cutterblock. After a few weeks of use, I don't see an enormous improvement. I still have to work harder and longer than my original Braun. Even then, my 5 o'clock shadow seems to be arriving more like 2 o'clock.

Summary: The Benchmark of Shavers!
Comment: Just replaced my foil and cutterblock for my Braun Pulsonic System 9595 and it is like having a brand new shaver. When it comes to shavers, Braun is the benchmark...continually improving on each model they introduce.
For those only giving this item 1 star, you expectation are unrealistic. Worse, if you bought the product and were not happen with it, then you have returned it.
The foil and cutterblocks are going to vary from one person to another as to how long they last. Whether you shave daily, hair type, and how much you have to shave.
Above all, it is hard to find a better shaver on the market.

Comment: The prices on the Braun accessories are about as good as I could find on the 'net.
The 9000 series are advertised as a significant improvement over previous models. I do not see a significant difference.
I still get a faster, closer shave from my old 2000 series Braun shaver.

Summary: Blades Don't last 18 months !
Comment: I clean the blades every 6-10 shaves in the solution (9000 series) but by the 4th month the shaves went from AMAZING to noticibly less... by 6 months I'm replacing them because I'm back to the old 'go over & over the same area' to get the perfect shave when the blades were new. Still as close a shave, just lots more repetition to get the same complete coverage. Anyone else experiencing the same ? It's still an amazing product but we NEED TO KNOW if the blades need replacing every 6 mos to get the same quick & perfect shave we start with when new !!
