The pump works ok, but I ended up having to move parts from the old pump to the new pump (a safety shutoff circuit/float). I'm sure that I ordered the wrong variation on the pump, but the frustrating aspect is that I knew what I was looking for. The product descriptions just were not adequate to pick what I needed.
I suppose this product is usually purchased by HVAC pros. If you are a DIY, though, I recommend that you talk with a real sales person, to be sure you get what you want. I found this product first rate. I thought that the tubing it uses (3/8") was going to be supplied with it but it wasn't. Which I bought at the local hardware store.
It is quiter than I thought it would be and works very quickly.
The only problem that I found was in the drain/supply tube installation. Make sure you don't put in an excessive amount as it may jam the float. This may prevent the unit from operating.
Overall I would say it is built and operates better than expected and made in USA (motor was made in Mexico).
